Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE: MARCH 3, 2009
How we use your information
This LMCampusConX Privacy Policy is provided to help you understand how we gather, handle and consume the personal information you choose to share with the LMCampusConX community and with Lockheed Martin while using this web site. Lockheed Martin (the "Company" or "we") primarily use your information to holistically observe member trends such that we can provide you with a better service. We may occasionally use your information to send you notifications and to share information with you that we think may be interesting or relevant to you. This information could include, but is not limited to, what it is like to work for the Company, positions within the Company, events happening in your area, innovative or technological initiatives in which the Company is involved, or general news related to Lockheed Martin.
From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information we think would be of particular interest.
Users may opt out of receiving such direct marketing or market research contact.
Who we share your information with
We will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to others, other than as needed to administer the service. Unless we have your permission or are required by law, we will only share the personal information you provide online with other Company entities and/or business partners who are acting on our behalf for the uses described in "How we use your information." Such entities and/or business partners, including those in the United States and/or any other countries, are governed by our privacy policies with respect to the use of this data and are bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Choice
We will not use or share the personally identifiable information you provide to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first letting you know and offering you a choice. As previously stated, we will also provide you the opportunity to let us know if you do not wish to receive unsolicited direct marketing materials from us. Simply unsubscribe by following the link at the bottom of the community homepage titled "unsubscribe." In addition, you will also have this same unsubscribe link option in the bottom of any e-mail you receive from the Company. All requests to unsubscribe will be honored.
When you register with LMCampusConX, you create your own profile and privacy settings. By default, the personal information in your profile including your name, e-mail, and photo, are displayed to everyone in the LMCampusConX network. You will have the option to set your information to private, in which case you will be sharing your profile information only with friends within your specified network. If you do not select this box located on the edit portion of MY Profile page, your profile information will default to public and will be accessible to the entire registered membership of LMCampusConX.
You will have the option of sharing a profile picture with the community by editing your profile and uploading a photo of your choice. If you select to share a picture, your name and profile picture thumbnail, your college, and degree will be available in search results across the LMCampusConX network regardless of the private setting in your profile. This is primarily so your friends can find you and send a friend request. People who see your name and picture thumbnail in searches, however, will not be able to access your entire profile unless they either have a site relationship to you (friend member of your networks, etc.) or you have elected to leave your profile setting to the default public view. If you do not choose to upload a picture in your profile, this area will be grayed out.
How you can access or correct your information
We will provide you with access to your information, including making every effort to provide you with on-line access to your registration data so that you may view, update or correct your information. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access or enabling you to make corrections. You can view and edit your personally identifiable information at any time you wish by accessing your profile on your LMCampusConX website.
Our commitment to data security
We use industry standard security technologies and practices to employ appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
